The College of Veterinary Medicine held a workshop entitled “The Divorce Pandemic in Iraq: Causes and Solutions,” in the presence of the Dean of the College, the faculty, and the members. The workshop included a lecture given by Dr. Mahmoud Adeeb Fattah, indicating that the phenomenon of divorce in Iraq is one of the most dangerous phenomena that any society in the world can be exposed to, as it is a fundamental cause. In dismantling the foundations of the family and dispersing its members, and the resulting major disruption in the social system based on the cohesion and harmony of the family because it constitutes the primary nucleus in human society in general. The lecturer recommended activating the role of universities and educational institutions through seminars, conferences, and cultural lectures, and educating university and institute students about the dangers of divorce in society.
