The College of Veterinary Medicine organizes a symposium on public health.

As part of the activities of the University Psychological Counseling Department and in cooperation with the Iraqi Red Crescent Society/Kirkuk/Health Department, the College of Veterinary Medicine organized a symposium entitled Psychological Stress and its Impact on Public Health, with the attendance of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Shahd Abbas Al-Attar, the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, and the college's staff and students. The symposium included a lecture given by Dr. Shahd Abbas Jaber, during which she addressed several topics, the most important of which was the concept of psychological stress, its causes, and how to deal with it in a way that limits the risks of its negative effects on the health of the individual and society. The symposium aimed to enhance community awareness by highlighting health and psychological awareness among employees and students, by explaining the causes of the stress they are exposed to during daily interactions and clarifying how to overcome the problems they face in a way that contributes to achieving a positive and healthy academic university environment.
