The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine organizes a workshop on corruption in the public sector

Under the guidance of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Shahd Abbas Al-Attar, the University Psychological Counseling Division at the College of Veterinary Medicine held a workshop entitled "Preventing Corruption in the Public Sector: Mechanisms of Oversight and Accountability," attended by faculty members. The workshop included a lecture delivered by Dr. Tariq Abdul Muhammad, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, and Ms. Hayam Rashid, who discussed the legislation enacted to combat corruption and financial crimes, particularly the provisions in Islamic Sharia that regulate administrative and financial conduct and urge the achievement of social justice and integrity in financial transactions. They also discussed the provisions in Iraqi law that emphasize the necessity of regulating administrative and oversight work and combating corruption in all its forms. The workshop aimed to strengthen the role of internal and external oversight by establishing clear controls, regulations, and laws. It also emphasized the need to enact laws, legislation, and penalties that guarantee the protection of society from the scourge of corruption.
