The University Psychological Counseling Department organized an awareness seminar entitled “Illegal Immigration and International Protection Organizations (Challenges and Responsibilities)”, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Shahd Abbas Al-Attar, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, and the College’s members and students. The seminar included a lecture given by Asst. Dr. Hind Abdul-Anad, a lecturer at the College of Education for Girls, in which she explained that illegal immigration has become a very dangerous phenomenon that is not just numbers in official reports or scenes published on social media or official news in various countries of the world, but rather has become a reality embraced by civil society organizations and human rights organizations due to its significant role in the present and future of humanity. This places all countries before great challenges and responsibilities to ensure the reception of refugees and displaced persons, and one of the most important duties of the international community is to protect human rights, guarantee their dignity, and provide them with social protection. The seminar recommended the necessity of respecting human rights and the rights of refugees and displaced persons arriving in various countries of the world in order to ensure a decent life for all.
