The Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Dr. Shahd Abbas Al-Attar, participated in the activities of the 8th Scientific Conference (the Second International) at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Mosul, during the period from 22-23 October 2025, under the slogan "The Role of the Veterinarian in Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals", with the participation of veterinary colleges in Iraqi, Arab and international universities. The conference aims to shed light on the vital and important role of the veterinarian in achieving sustainable development, especially in the fields of public health, as it constitutes the first line of defense against diseases common to humans and animals through the application of the concept of One Health, in addition to its contribution to enhancing food security and protecting livestock in a manner that serves the goals of sustainable development locally and globally.
