College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences organizes a lecture on autism, how to diagnose it, and treating methods
College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / Kirkuk University organized a qualitative lecture on autism, how to diagnose it, and methods of treating it for fourth-year students.
The lecture, which was delivered by the lecturer Muhammad Qasim Al-Hadidi, aimed to introduce the concept of the disease and its symptoms that affect children in the early stages of their lives, such as delay in speech, social interaction, sensory problems, and behaviour, and to explain the therapeutic methods and measures that must be taken during this period, such as developing an educational health program for the child by a specialized staff.
The lecture included explaining the causes of the disease, how to diagnose it, dealing with the patient properly according to the instructions of the specialist doctor, especially the family, developing a teaching program in specialized schools for such cases, and emphasizing the necessity of providing government medical centres, especially since the disease may burden the citizen due to the high costs of treatment in private sector centres.
