The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences organizes a scientific awareness lecture on the phenomenon of harassment and its psychological dimensions affecting women
Under the sponsorship of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the sponsorship of the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Kirkuk, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Saber, the college held a scientific awareness lecture on the phenomenon of harassment and its psychological dimensions affecting women, in the presence of the scientific assistant, Dr. Hamid Muhammad Amash, and a number of teachers. And the students.
The lecture, which was delivered by the Women’s Empowerment Officer, Professor Dr. Asin Ahmed Fakhri, aimed to explain the phenomenon of harassment, its causes, how it negatively affects the victim, and the position of Iraqi law on it.
It included emphasizing the importance of instilling self-confidence to confront this phenomenon and not remaining silent and covering it up, and providing advice to prevent sexual harassment, including staying away from dangerous areas, avoiding strangers, choosing appropriate clothing, and in some cases possessing tools that protect against harassment.
