Based on the principle of existing cooperation between state institutions and departments and its sports facilities, the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Kirkuk, in cooperation with the Iraqi Athletics Federation / Kirkuk Branch, held a special arbitration course for athletics in the presence of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Saber, and his assistants for administrative and scientific affairs and the head of The representation of Kirkuk in the Iraqi National Olympic Committee is Harbi Khaled, the head of the Sub-Federation of Athletics/Kirkuk Branch, Sirwan Othman Muhammad, and a number of teachers and game referees in the governorate and students.
The session witnessed the delivery of two qualitative lectures, the first on international athletics law and competition rules, delivered by the Head of the Theoretical Sciences Branch, Assistant Professor Dr. Ihsan Kaddouri Amin, in which he touched on clarifying the complex events of athletics and explaining the rules of the game, the most important of which are international competitions during which the rules of the International Association of Athletics Federations are applied. The strengths and duties of the organization delegate, the technical delegate, and others. The second lecture was given by the branch’s rapporteur, Dr. Amjad Ali Falih, in which he touched on clarifying the most important arbitration mechanisms and the activities of running, throwing, jumping, and jumping.
The course aimed to clarify the basic principles of arbitration and competition rules for the students, prepare them for arbitration in athletics, in local championships, and prepare them to become national technical and training cadres at the governorate level in particular and Iraq in general.
