The College of Veterinary Medicine held a discussion session entitled Stem Cell Therapy, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Mahmoud Adeeb Agha, and the college’s members and students. The session included a lecture given by (Assistant Professor Dr. Dhikra Abdel-Wahab Mustafa), in which she addressed the definition of stem cells, which are undifferentiated cells that can develop and differentiate into different types of cells in the body, touching on the types of stem cells and their sources, as they are taken from embryonic stem cells and adult stem cells. The lecturer recommended that these cells have a great importance and role in the fields of medicine and scientific research, as they can be used in treating cancer and diabetes and developing drugs.
