On Monday, 8/12/2024, a joint guidance workshop was held in Al-Rashad district/Maryam Beg village on viral hemorrhagic fever disease, during which the lecturer, M.M. Louay Juma Jihad, representative of the College of Veterinary Medicine/University of Kirkuk, gave an guidance lecture in which he addressed the risks surrounding the disease from Viral causes, clinical signs and symptoms accompanying the disease, and the vectors responsible for the spread of the disease, including insects and rodents. The lecture also addressed the groups most vulnerable to the disease and the preventive methods that must be followed to limit the spread of the disease and the occurrence of the epidemic. The lecturer recommended the necessity of eliminating vectors using insecticides and taking preventive measures to prevent these vectors from reaching living spaces, paying attention to personal hygiene and avoiding animal products not prepared by methods.Good health and taking caution when dealing with animals, especially infected ones, and the necessity of reporting suspected cases.
