Under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Professor Dr. Shahd Abbas Al-Attar, and in service of the educational and academic process and the development of students' clinical skills, and as part of the activities of the veterinarians at the College of Veterinary Medicine, in cooperation with the Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Kirkuk Governorate, and with the participation of the college's students, a case of illness was reported involving a horse suffering from a large chest wound. The condition was diagnosed after conducting the necessary clinical and laboratory examinations. The wound was sutured under general anesthesia using absorbable sutures. The horse was also given the necessary medical treatments, and the owner was instructed to follow veterinary guidelines and instructions to avoid post-operative health complications. It is worth noting that all health and treatment services are provided free of charge.
