As part of the third edition of the "Read" initiative launched by Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, President of Kirkuk University, the College of Veterinary Medicine held a book fair under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Shahd Abbas Al-Attar. The fair aimed to instill a culture of reading and enhance awareness and intellectual engagement among university students. The Dean of the College of Nursing, Professor Dr. Hiwa Sattar Saleh, also attended. The festival included a diverse range of activities and events that provided students with the opportunity to actively participate and explore a variety of scientific, cultural, heritage, literary, and other books. This contributed to supporting the academic and scientific path and broadening the intellectual horizons of our students. The festival's activities aimed to cultivate a conscious university personality among students, based on the principle that reading builds minds. Furthermore, it aimed to provide a comprehensive and stimulating cultural environment for reading, research, and exploration, thereby transforming reading from a limited individual activity into a sustainable institutional practice.
