The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine organizes an awareness campaign about the effects of drugs

Under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Professor Dr. Shahd Abbas Al-Attar, and as part of the Iraqi Anti-Drug Week, the University's Psychological Counseling Unit, in cooperation with the Student Activities Unit, organized an awareness campaign entitled "The Effects of Drugs on the Brain," with the participation of several faculty members and students.The campaign included the distribution of informational brochures about the dangers of drugs and the physical changes they cause to certain nerve cells in the brain, in addition to personality changes and cognitive decline, particularly the development of mental, behavioral, psychological, and neurological symptoms.The campaign aimed to raise awareness among all segments of society about ways to reduce the spread of drugs and to clarify the health, social, and psychological problems and harms caused by drug addiction.
