The College of Veterinary Medicine organizes a discussion session on illegal immigration

The College of Veterinary Medicine organized a discussion session entitled "The Negative and Positive Impacts of Illegal Immigration" with the attendance of the faculty and students. The session included a lecture delivered by Asst. M. Walid Mahdi, in which he touched upon the concept of migration in general and illegal migration in particular, which occurs through illegal means between countries, such as infiltrating across borders or through the use of forged documents. It often occurs between individuals from developing countries who migrate to developed countries such as Europe or the United States of America. The most important causes of this are the spread of poverty and unemployment, the frequent wars, and the large population in developing countries. The session recommended the necessity of working to reduce illegal migration by strengthening security between countries, combating smuggling in all its forms, achieving social justice, and protecting human rights in developing countries.
