The Department of Diseases and Poultry was established in the College of Veterinary Medicine / University of Kirkuk in the academic year
2018/2019
Professors with high specialization in the field of teaching belong to the poultry branch. The pathology department is concerned with providing students with theoretical and practical experiences in the following subjects:
Poultry Disease : It is concerned with providing the fourth stage students with theoretical and practical concepts related to poultry diseases and disease diagnosis by 2 theoretical hours and 2 practical hours
Pathology : It is concerned with providing the students of the third stage with theoretical and practical concepts related to pathology and the histological changes that occur in the pathological tissues, which develops the student's skill of examining the histological slides to diagnose diseases histologically and by 2 hours theoretical and 2 hours practical
Fish Disease : The course aims to provide students of the fifth stage with theoretical and practical skills for tissue breeding, feeding and diseases of fish, with a rate of 2 theoretical hours and 2 practical hours for one semester only Morbid Anatomy.
Pathogenesis : This course is concerned with diagnosing the disease and the signs appearing after the death of the animal in order to diagnose the disease and prevent its spread by 1 hour theoretical and 2 hours practical
Forensic Medicine :The forensic medicine course aims to provide the student with the skill of determining the changes that occur to an animal after death, which includes studying forensic medicine for the fifth stage by 1 theoretical hour and 2 practical hours for one semester only.
