University Psychological Counseling Unit

The Counseling Committee was established on January 10, 2017, and the University Psychological Counseling Unit was officially established on December 9, 2018. Counseling is an interactive relationship between the counselor and the counselee. It provides an appropriate psychological environment that enables the counselee to express themselves freely and become capable of making choices and solving the problems they face. The University Psychological Counseling Unit represents a distinguished field of applied sciences, as it helps students develop their skills, abilities, and potential. This contributes to strengthening their self-confidence, improving their decision-making abilities, and helping them transfer the experience gained from counseling situations to various life situations. The University Psychological Counseling Unit is responsible for following up on students' problems, including academic difficulties and family problems that may affect students' academic performance and future. The Unit also refers severe psychological problems to specialized psychological treatment services and ensures that students receive the necessary support and assistance.
Unit Responsibilities
  1. Organizing continuous courses and workshops by Unit members to strengthen communication with students and provide educational and psychological guidance in accordance with university instructions.
  2. Organizing awareness seminars covering various psychological, cultural, and social fields.
  3. Meeting with students and assisting in solving their problems whenever possible.
  4. Developing an educational counseling program that includes defining program objectives and identifying students' educational and psychological needs and problems.
  5. Strengthening social relationships with students' parents through visits and meetings.
