Sustainable development
Sustainable development is the process of achieving economic, social and environmental progress in a balanced and sustainable manner. It aims to meet the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. Sustainable development includes environmental sustainability by protecting natural resources and preserving biodiversity, economic sustainability by promoting sustainable economic growth and job creation, and social sustainability by promoting equality and social justice and promoting human rights. Sustainable development is a major goal for many organizations and communities around the world. Sustainable development towards a better environment means working to achieve economic and social development in ways that preserve the environment and protect natural resources. These efforts include reducing pollution and relying on renewable energy sources, promoting sustainable use of water and soil resources, enhancing the protection of biodiversity and preserving important ecosystems. The move towards a better environment aims to achieve a balance between economic and social development and environmental protection to ensure the sustainability of resources and the quality of life for current and future generations. Based on Ban Ki-moon’s saying that there is no other planet we can live on like Earth, but there are other resources that we can benefit from and that can contribute to achieving sustainable development.
