Professor Dr. Kasim Sakran Abass is a prominent academic and administrative figure at Kirkuk University, serving as Head of the Physiology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology Department at the College of Veterinary Medicine. He possesses extensive scientific and academic experience in veterinary medicine, particularly in pharmacology, and actively contributes to the development of the educational and administrative processes within the college. This is achieved through he supervision of study plans, organization of academic work, and monitoring of faculty performance to ensure adherence to quality standards and academic accreditation requirements.

On the scientific and research front, Professor Dr. Kasim Sakran Abass focuses on the study of medically important antibiotics, especially tetracycline and human penicillin, and their health effects. He also utilizes modern medical and molecular techniques to update certain neurological drug compounds and study their associated receptors. He scientific research has contributed to shedding light on the treatment of certain neurological diseases in the local community and linking them to broader health considerations, thus supporting scientific efforts aimed at improving healthcare.
