Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit:

The Guidance Committee was formed on January 10, 2017, and the unit was established on December 9, 2018. Guidance is an interactive relationship between the counselor and the student, providing the counselor with a suitable psychological environment that enables the student to express themselves, make choices, and solve the problems they face. The Guidance Unit is a distinguished field within applied sciences because it helps students develop their skills, abilities, and potential, contributing to their self-confidence, decision-making capacity, and transitioning from the experience of guidance to life experiences. The Educational Guidance Unit is responsible for addressing student problems such as academic underachievement and family issues that affect a student's performance and future academic prospects. It also refers acute psychological problems to psychological treatment and ensures that students receive the necessary support and resources.

Unit Tasks:

1. Conducting ongoing courses and workshops by unit members to broaden communication with students for educational and psychological support, in accordance with university regulations.

2. Holding awareness seminars in all psychological, cultural, and social fields.

3. Meeting with students and addressing their problems to the best of their ability.

4. Developing a plan for the educational guidance program, including defining program objectives and identifying students' educational and psychological needs and challenges.

5. Strengthening social ties with students' parents through visits and meetings.
