Diwan Affairs Division 

The Administrative Affairs Division is one of the most important divisions in the College of Veterinary Medicine, as it is linked to several units within the college. The division manages the following units:

Fingerprint unit: Recording employee attendance and departure for each work day. Retrieving reports from the fingerprint scanner periodically. Submitting employee attendance reports to the administrative assistant periodically and sharing them with the administrative and legal department. Archiving fingerprint and employee attendance reports.

  • Civil Defense Unit: Cooperation with external entities for support and training: Coordinating with local civil defense to provide necessary support in major emergencies and providing regular staff training. Organizing civil defense committees: such as the fire brigade, ambulance team, and security team. Maintaining safety equipment: Ensuring the maintenance of all safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, water hoses, and alarm devices, and conducting periodic inspections and renewals of this equipment. Organizing a monthly duty roster, sharing it with all staff, and issuing the corresponding administrative orders. Monitoring, signing, and submitting the daily duty roster to the Dean.

  • Vehicles Unit - Transportation: Transporting staff for work purposes to and from the college during working hours. Transporting students from dormitories to the college and returning them to their dormitories after school hours. Vehicle repairs: Diagnosing and repairing vehicle malfunctions immediately, changing oils, filters, and tires at appropriate times, and coordinating with external repair shops when specialized repairs are required. Fuel management: Organizing the process of refueling vehicles and monitoring fuel consumption for each vehicle.
  • Maintenance Unit: Building maintenance: such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting. Facilities maintenance: such as air conditioning and heating systems, and external and internal lighting systems. Generator operation and maintenance, and monthly refueling.

  • Agriculture Unit: Planning and implementing afforestation campaigns: Identifying suitable areas for afforestation within the college campus, selecting appropriate types of trees and shrubs, and carrying out digging, planting, and maintenance operations. Green space care: Regular irrigation of trees and shrubs, pruning, fertilization, removal of weeds, and control of pests and diseases that affect plants.
  • Services Unit: Cleaning Services: Ensuring the cleanliness of all college facilities, including classrooms, administrative offices, laboratories, restrooms, and outdoor areas, and managing waste. Logistics Support Services: Assisting in the movement of items and furniture within and outside the college.
