Diwan Affairs Division

Overview and Objectives of the Administrative Affairs Division: The Administrative Affairs Division is a vital division within the College of Veterinary Medicine, as it is linked to several other units within the college. The division manages the following units:
  1. Fingerprint Unit: Recording the attendance and departure of employees for each workday. Retrieving reports from the fingerprint device periodically. Submitting employee attendance reports to the Administrative Assistant periodically and sharing them with the Administrative and Legal Department. Archiving fingerprint and employee attendance reports.
  2. Civil Defense Unit: Cooperation with external entities for support and training: Coordinating with the local Civil Defense to provide necessary support in major emergencies and providing periodic training for employees. Organizing Civil Defense committees: such as the fire brigade, ambulance team, and security team. Maintaining safety equipment: Ensuring the maintenance of all safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, water hoses, and alarm devices. Inspecting and renewing this equipment periodically. Organizing a duty roster each month, sharing it with all employees, and issuing the corresponding administrative orders. Monitoring, signing, and submitting the daily duty roster to the Dean.
  3. Vehicles - Transportation Unit: Transporting employees for work purposes to and from the college during working hours. Transporting students from the dormitories to the college and returning them to their dormitories after classes. Vehicle Repair: Diagnosing and repairing vehicle malfunctions immediately, changing oils, filters, and tires at appropriate times, and coordinating with external maintenance workshops when specialized repairs are required. Fuel Management: Organizing the refueling of vehicles and monitoring fuel consumption for each vehicle.
  4. Maintenance Unit: Building Maintenance: Plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting. Facilities Maintenance: Maintaining air conditioning and heating systems, and maintaining indoor and outdoor lighting systems. Generator operation and maintenance, including monthly refueling.
  5. Agriculture Unit: Planning and Implementing Tree Planting Campaigns: Identifying suitable areas for planting within the college campus, selecting appropriate tree and shrub species, and carrying out digging, planting, and maintenance operations. Green Space Care: Regularly irrigating trees and shrubs, pruning, fertilizing, removing weeds, and controlling pests and diseases affecting plants. Services Unit: Cleaning Services: Ensuring the cleanliness of all college facilities, including classrooms, administrative offices, laboratories, restrooms, and outdoor areas, and managing waste. Logistics Support Services: Assisting in the movement of items and furniture within and outside the college.
