A large turnout of students at the library of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences on its closing day
The library of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Kirkuk witnessed a large turnout of students, coinciding with the (Read) competition and initiative on its closing day, which was launched by the President of the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, with the aim of spreading the culture of reading and writing.
The Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Saber, during his meeting with the students and the head of the Library Division, Dr. Asin Ahmed Fakhry, stressed the necessity of creating the appropriate atmosphere for reading within the library, by providing model reading rooms, and a modern, balanced and comprehensive collection of information sources that are closely linked to the academic curricula.
He stressed the necessity of developing students' skills and abilities in terms of research and writing, and motivating them to read as it is the backbone of the nation and the continuity of its culture.
