 Conclusion of the university table tennis and chess tournament for teachers and students
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and in the presence of the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Saber, the University of Kirkuk concluded the table tennis and chess tournament for male and female students.
The Dean of the College praised the distinguished joint efforts made by the Supervisory Committee and the Arbitration Committee to make the tournament a success, congratulating the winners of the first places and praising the efforts made by the head of the Student Activities Division at the College, Marwan Abdel Nabi, in holding tournaments and sporting events for our college students, which came in accordance with the sports and artistic curriculum of the Activities Department. Students in the university presidency for the academic year 2023/2024.
Head of the Student Activities Department, M.M. Nawzad Shafiq Khalaf, said that the tournament, which witnessed the participation of 19 colleges and the Department of Internal Affairs, in which the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences won first place in the game of table tennis for male students and second place for female students, and in the game of chess, the students of the college won first place. Third place for male students and second place for female students.
The tournament aimed to discover students’ talents, invest youth energies in multiple positive directions, and provide an entertaining atmosphere for university students. At the conclusion of the tournament, the President of Kirkuk University honored the winners of the table tennis and chess tournaments.
