The Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences recently organized a sports festival to commemorate the International Day of Sports for Development and Peace. The festival was held in collaboration with the Youth and Sports Directorate in Kirkuk Governorate and was attended and sponsored by the President of the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Saber.

The festival began with the national anthem followed by a speech by the university president, welcoming the attendees and announcing the start of the festival. Several sports events were established, which were enthusiastically participated in by the large crowd of sports fans, creating an atmosphere filled with joy and pleasure.

The festival was attended by various college deans, assistants for administrative and scientific affairs, and several distinguished sports figures. The winners of the university championship in badminton were awarded gold medals and gifts during the ceremony.
