The Volunteer Work Committee Carries Out an Awareness Campaign to Combat Cheating Among First-Year Students

Under the patronage of the esteemed Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Chelang Akram Omar, the Volunteer Work Committee at the college carried out an awareness campaign titled “The Dangers of Cheating and Its Negative Consequences,” targeting first-year students across various academic departments.

The campaign included the distribution of printed awareness posters highlighting the serious risks of academic dishonesty. These posters were displayed inside examination halls and on department bulletin boards, with the aim of promoting awareness, reinforcing values of integrity and academic honesty, and fostering a disciplined and principled university environment.

This initiative was supervised by the Volunteer Work Committee, chaired by Lecturer Ibrahim Jalal Nasser, with the support of Assistant Professor Sunbul Mohammed Younis from the Department of Chemical Engineering, and with active participation from a group of faculty and students.

The campaign reflects the college’s ongoing efforts to support positive behavior and instill ethical values on campus—especially during examination periods—demonstrating its institutional commitment to shaping a responsible and ethically conscious academic generation.volunteer4volunteer3
