College of Engineering Launches a Community Blood Donation Campaign

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Chelang Akram Omar, Dean of the College of Engineering, and in cooperation with the Kirkuk Health Directorate, the College’s Volunteer Activities Committee organized a blood donation campaign to support the general blood bank supply and meet the needs of patients in local hospitals.

This humanitarian initiative comes as part of the College's efforts to promote a sense of social responsibility and human solidarity. The campaign witnessed wide participation from the College's staff, reflecting the importance of contributing to saving lives and supporting the healthcare sector in the province.

The Dean of the College praised this initiative, emphasizing the importance of organizing such activities that embody humanitarian values and promote public awareness. She extended her thanks to all participants in the campaign and to the supporting health authorities, represented by the Kirkuk Health Directorate.

Mr. Ibrahim Jalal Nasser, Lecturer and Head of the Volunteer Activities Committee, stated that this campaign is part of a series of purposeful initiatives through which the College aims to strengthen its societal and humanitarian role and support healthcare efforts in the province.

At the conclusion of the campaign, the Kirkuk Health Directorate expressed its gratitude and appreciation for these humanitarian efforts, commending the role of academic institutions in supporting the community.
