The College of Basic Education organized a scientific workshop titled "Social Media and Its Effects on Higher Education Students," presented by Assistant Lecturer Adnan Ali Farhan and Assistant Lecturer Khaled Ahmed Abd. The workshop addressed the various effects of social media on students' lives in higher education, highlighting positive aspects such as enhancing e-learning, facilitating communication between students and professors, and accessing diverse educational resources. It also touched upon negative aspects, such as the impact on concentration and academic achievement, addiction to these platforms, and the psychological and social challenges associated with them. The lecturers presented a set of practical recommendations to guide students towards the optimal use of these platforms, achieving a balance between benefiting from technology and maintaining academic performance.
