Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Assistant Professor Dr. Osamah Ibrahim Ahmed, and the Head of the Field Crops Department, Professor Dr. Khattab Abdullah Mohammed, the department organized a scientific visit for third-year students to the General Company for Textile and Leather Industries, Kirkuk site, which is one of the formations of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, and within the practical curriculum for crops. Fibers, and under the teaching supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Rahim. The teacher supervising the visit explained that the aim of organizing this visit is to introduce the students to the equipment available in the cotton gin, its working mechanism, and the existing industries therein. He added that these visits to agricultural and industrial facilities come within a plan prepared by the head of the Field Crops Department, in order to support the theoretical curriculum for students, with field observations of the extent of benefit from these crops in various fields.
