The College of Administration and Economics, as part of the activities of the Continuous Education Division, organized a workshop entitled (Simulation and Goodness-of-Fit Testing for Probability Distributions Using Minitab).
This workshop aims to introduce the concept of data simulation and goodness-of-fit testing for probability distributions using Minitab, focusing on how to select the most appropriate probability distribution to represent and statistically analyze data. The workshop covers methods for generating random data, simulating different scenarios, and applying goodness-of-fit tests to verify the compatibility of data with various probability distributions, such as Normal, Exponential, and Weibull distributions.

The workshop also includes practical applications using the software to analyze and interpret results, enabling participants to utilize these tools in scientific research, quality control, and data-driven decision-making. The workshop targets students, researchers, and individuals interested in applied statistics and data analysis.
The workshop was presented by
Asst. Prof. Dr. Wakaa Ali Hadba
