The Faculty of Pharmacy holds a workshop entitled (proper handling of laboratory materials in laboratories)

The pharmacy branch at the Faculty of Pharmacy, through the Continuing Education Division, held a workshop entitled (proper handling of laboratory materials in laboratories) that lasted for three days starting on Sunday, corresponding to ٢٠٢٤/١٠/١٣.
The workshop included practical lectures through which assistant professor Dr. Luqman Idris Mahmoud, head of the pharmaceutical and chemical branch Asra Kazem Majid and pharmacy Nour Al-Hoda Salam explained the most important guidelines and general matters of chemical laboratory safety, how to handle and caution when using chemicals in laboratories and the use of glass instruments in conducting filtration, evaporation, distillation and escalation experiments.the workshop also showed the most important warning signs in chemical laboratories.
The workshop recommended adherence to the general guidelines of laboratory safety, how to dispose of chemical waste in a safe way, how to deal with and prevent the risks of toxic and inflammatory chemicals inside laboratories and how to store them as directed by the chemical and biological security safety committees.
