The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Pharmacy organized an awareness-raising and educational lecture on (intellectual extremism) on Wednesday morning, 4/24/2024.
As the head of the guidance unit, Assistant Lecturer Nagham Daham Ibrahim, gave her lecture to fifth-year students with the aim of educating students about the concept of extremism and its types, and the extent of its danger to the individual and society, while stating the most important reasons that contribute to the emergence of extremism, and identifying ways to mitigate it and prevent it to avoid falling into it.
The lecture also recommended to students the necessity of mutual respect among all and encouraging dialogue platforms between various intellectual, cultural and social components, and enabling the individual to express his convictions and choices within the limits of commitment to the ethics of objective dialogue aimed at forming a public opinion that reflects the culture of the nation as it consists of cultural and civilized pluralism.
