College of Nursing Organizes a Tree-Planting Campaign in Its Courtyards to Celebrate National Tree Planting Day

In implementation of the initiative launched by the Prime Minister to plant five million trees as part of the National Tree Planting Day activities, and under the patronage of the President of Kirkuk University, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Nursing, Professor Dr. Hiwa Sttar Salih, the College of Nursing organized a voluntary tree-planting campaign in its gardens and surrounding areas on Thursday, March 12, 2026.

The campaign involved the participation of a number of faculty members, staff, and students, who planted various trees and ornamental plants throughout the college’s courtyards and gardens. The initiative aimed to expand green spaces and create a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing university environment, contributing to the enhancement of the educational setting.

This initiative was organized in celebration of National Tree Planting Day and reflects the college’s commitment to promoting environmental awareness and encouraging students to engage in voluntary activities that support environmental sustainability and preserve the beauty of the university campus. It also highlights the spirit of social responsibility demonstrated by the students and staff of the College of Nursing.
