A Scientific Field Visit to the Kroonji Beverages Company

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Nursing, Professor Dr. Hiwa Sttar Salih, the Basic Sciences Department at the College of Nursing organized a scientific field visit to the Kroonji Beverages Company on Tuesday, 17 February 2026.

The visit was conducted under the direct supervision of:

The visit aimed to achieve a set of scientific and academic objectives, most notably:

  • Familiarizing students with the quality and food safety standards adopted in the company’s laboratories and their compliance with approved health requirements.
  • Linking theoretical knowledge with practical application through direct observation of production processes and health control systems, thereby enhancing students’ applied understanding.
  • Highlighting the role of nursing in community health, particularly in raising awareness about food and beverage safety and its impact on human health.
  • Identifying the required health conditions in beverage factories and the role of health professionals in monitoring and inspection.
  • Developing students’ scientific observation and analytical skills through direct interaction with the industrial environment.
  • Enhancing students’ health and nutritional awareness, enabling them to provide proper health guidance in nutrition and beverage-related matters.
  • Encouraging cooperation and partnership between academic institutions and the industrial sector to support and develop the educational process.

This visit comes as part of the strategic direction of the College of Nursing to strengthen partnerships with institutions related to public health and to keep pace with scientific and practical developments in fields related to nursing and community health, thereby contributing to the preparation of qualified nursing staff capable of serving society with high efficiency.
