The College of Nursing was established in the city of Kirkuk on 7/23/2002 and was affiliated with the Presidency of the University of Mosul. Then, it was disbanded and affiliated with the University of Kirkuk after its establishment on 1/17/2003 because there was an urgent need in the governorate for this professional and humanitarian specialty. Students are accepted into the college from graduates of the preparatory school in the scientific branch, the first graduates of the Technical Institute/Nursing Department, and the first graduates of the Nursing Preparatory School. The duration of study is four years, in a semester system, and in the English language for the specialization subjects. The college grants graduates a bachelor’s degree in nursing sciences. The number of teaching staff is (47) and the number of students is (549) male and female students for the morning study and (750) male and female students for the evening study for the Academic Year 2022/2023.
