The College of Nursing at the University of Kirkuk signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the Kirkuk Health Directorate to enhance academic and training collaboration

In its ongoing efforts to expand the horizons of academic partnerships and foster scientific integration, and in alignment with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the College of Nursing at the University of Kirkuk has signed a joint Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and cooperation with the Kirkuk Health Directorate. This agreement aims to enhance collaboration across scientific, academic, and training fields, and to elevate the standards of education, scientific research, and health services.

The MoU was signed by Professor Dr. Hiwa Sattar Saleh, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Kirkuk, and Dr. Arjan Mohammed Rasheed, Director of the Kirkuk Health Directorate, in the presence of members of the Industrial Advisory Board and several administrative staff members from both sides.

The memorandum aims to strengthen joint cooperation in clinical training, develop educational and training programs for the college’s students, and facilitate the exchange of scientific and practical expertise. Furthermore, it encompasses the implementation of joint research and community-oriented activities and programs, thereby contributing to the support of the health sector and the advancement of nursing education outcomes.

Both parties emphasized that this memorandum marks the launch of a sustainable strategic partnership. This partnership will contribute to preparing qualified nursing cadres capable of meeting labor market demands, and enhance the quality of healthcare services provided to the community, ultimately achieving sustainable development goals and keeping pace with advancements in the healthcare sector.
