Kirkuk University College of Nursing Hosts Iraqi Nursing Deans Committee Periodic Meeting

Under the auspices of the Esteemed President of the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. omran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the Esteemed Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Hiwa Satar Saleh, and in cooperation and coordination with the College of Nursing at Al-Kitab University, the periodic meeting of the Deans' Committee of Iraqi Colleges of Nursing (4th Session) was held at the College of Nursing at Al-Kitab University.

The meeting was attended by the Esteemed Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Hiwa Satar Saleh, in his capacity as Vice-Chairman of the Deans' Committee of Iraqi Colleges of Nursing, along with the participation of all deans of nursing colleges from various Iraqi universities, as well as deans of nursing colleges in the Kurdistan Region.

The meeting addressed a number of academic and scientific topics related to the Bologna Process, success rates in assessment exams, as well as matters pertaining to evaluating the academic status of nursing colleges. These discussions aimed to contribute to the development of nursing education in Iraq, enhance cooperation and coordination among nursing colleges across Iraqi universities, and address issues that help elevate the level of educational programs, scientific research, and nursing practices in alignment with academic development and labor market demands.

Holding this meeting comes within the framework of the Iraqi Nursing Colleges Deans' Committee's keenness to unify visions, foster communication among colleges, and exchange academic expertise and experiences, thereby contributing to supporting the nursing education journey and enhancing its outcomes across Iraqi universities.

The meeting reflected a spirit of cooperation and integration among Iraqi nursing colleges, emphasizing the importance of continuing to hold such scientific and academic gatherings due to their active role in developing higher education and advancing the nursing profession in Iraq.
