The Dean of the College of Media explored ways to enhance collaboration with the Talents and Energies for Sustainable Development team, as part of the college's strategy to expand its partnerships with relevant community organizations and groups focused on development and sustainability. This initiative also aims to strengthen the college's academic and community role in supporting youth and developing their skills and talents.
During the meeting, several topics of mutual interest were discussed, including promoting a culture of sustainable development, empowering youth, supporting initiatives and talents, and utilizing media to serve sustainable development issues. The importance of building bridges of cooperation between academic institutions and active community stakeholders was also emphasized.
Both sides stressed the importance of organizing joint seminars, workshops, and training courses in the coming period. These events will address topics such as media and sustainable development, environmental journalism, social responsibility, youth innovation and creativity, digital media, and the role of media in raising awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals. This collaboration will contribute to developing the skills of media students and bridging the gap between academic learning and the actual needs of society and the job market.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty of Media, Professor Dr. Maad Assi Ali, and the members of the Faculty Council were honored in recognition of their efforts in supporting the paths of sustainable development, and their keenness to consolidate this concept in the work of the Faculty, its programs and initiatives, as well as their efforts in creating and developing the Faculty in accordance with a vision based on the requirements of sustainable development, and keeping pace with modern developments in education, media and community service.
