The College of Media organized a scientific seminar entitled "Educational Outcomes: The Bologna Process as a Model in Iraq," as part of its ongoing efforts to establish a culture of academic quality and promote the requirements for the transition to the Bologna Process, which is expected to be implemented in the next academic year. This aligns with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to develop university education and improve its outcomes.
In his address, the Dean of the College of Media, Professor Dr. Muad Assi Ali, emphasized that implementing the Bologna Process is a fundamental pillar for modernizing the higher education system. This is achieved by focusing on learning outcomes, developing curricula, and adopting modern teaching methods that contribute to preparing graduates with the competencies and skills that meet the needs of the labor market and enhance the competitiveness of academic institutions.
The seminar included two scientific lectures presented by Dr. Ahmed Hatem Mohammed and Dr. [Name Missing]. Hamam Saleh Mustafa and his colleague discussed the concept of learning outcomes, the mechanisms for formulating and measuring them in light of the Bologna Process requirements, the most prominent challenges facing its implementation in Iraqi universities, and the opportunities it offers for developing academic programs and achieving quality standards and academic accreditation.
The seminar was attended by faculty members and staff and concluded with a scholarly dialogue and interventions that emphasized the importance of unifying academic and administrative efforts to successfully implement the Bologna Process, thereby contributing to raising the quality of university education and achieving learning outcomes that meet international academic standards.
