A master’s thesis at the College of Law and Political Science at the University of Kirkuk discussed: the principle of separation of international powers within the framework of public international law
The thesis submitted by the student: Mohsen Khattab Hamad aimed to separate international powers in the international organization, so that the General Assembly would be an encouraging and supervisory authority, the Security Council would be an executive authority subject to the General Assembly, and the International Court of Justice would be a binding, not consensual, judicial authority.
The thesis concluded that the major powers oppose the lawsuits calling for the establishment of a separation of international authorities because the presence of three international authorities similar to what is done in internal systems represents a disruption and a threat to the interests of these countries and leads to a reduction of their influence in the international organization.
