Participation of a Faculty Member from the Electrical Engineering Department in a Ministerial Committee Visit to the University of Tikrit

As part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s efforts to develop postgraduate programs in Iraqi universities, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussein Kamal Anwar, a faculty member in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the College of Engineering – University of Kirkuk, participated in the activities of the ministerial committee assigned to visit the University of Tikrit to assess the readiness of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the College of Engineering to launch a Ph.D. program in the field.

During the site visit, the committee conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the infrastructure and academic facilities, including classrooms, scientific laboratories, the central library, and postgraduate thesis discussion rooms. The assessment also included an evaluation of the qualified teaching staff, in accordance with the standards and regulations set by the Ministry.

  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Hashem Ghaleb Rasheed, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs

  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Khalil Saleh, Head of the Electrical Engineering Department

At the conclusion of the visit, the committee expressed its appreciation for the efforts made by the College’s administration and the faculty of the Electrical Engineering Department. It also noted positively the available capabilities and ongoing preparations, affirming its support for the department’s initiative to expand into new horizons in postgraduate studies, contributing to the advancement of academic and research standards at the University of Tikrit.visit 2
