Under the patronage of the Honorable Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Jelnik Akram Omar, the Continuing Education Division at the College of Engineering at the University of Kirkuk organized a distinguished symposium on character building and self-development, with the aim of enhancing students’ skills and developing their personal and social capabilities. The symposium was held on Tuesday, Sunday 3/31/2024, in the college’s main conference hall, and a large number of students, faculty members, and those interested in self-development participated.
The symposium addressed a group of important topics that contribute to building personality and promoting personal growth, delivered by Miss Hala Raed and a number of members of the Qubad Foundation for Culture and Education. Effective methods for achieving personal and professional success, and how to deal with challenges and pressures in university and professional life, were discussed. Emphasis was also placed on the importance of developing communication, leadership, and teamwork skills in building a strong and successful personality. The symposium presented distinguished lecturers in psychology and self-development, and professional trainers in the fields of leadership and personal development.
The symposium also witnessed a review of practical examples and successful experiences of people who built their personalities and achieved their goals in various areas of life. The attendees interacted greatly with the content of the symposium and exchanged experiences and opinions on how to apply the ideas and principles that were presented in their daily lives.
The students also expressed their desire to continue such activities that contribute to developing their personalities and enhancing their personal and social skills. This symposium is considered a valuable initiative by the Deanship of the College and the Division of Continuing Education in the College of Engineering at the University of Kirkuk to enhance the culture of self-development and personality building among its students, and to enhance the university’s role in preparing students. To face the challenges of personal and professional life with confidence and positivity.
