Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Chelang Akram Omar, the College of Engineering held a scientific seminar titled "Female Readers Shaping the Future." The seminar was organized by the Women’s Affairs Unit in cooperation with the University Psychological Counseling Division and the Government Media and Communications Division, with active participation from female staff and students, as part of supporting cultural awareness and enhancing women's role in building a cohesive knowledge society.
The seminar highlighted the importance of reading as an effective tool for developing intellectual capabilities and refining personality, particularly for female staff and students, contributing to the preparation of a conscious generation capable of participating in development paths and decision-making.
The seminar was presented by Dr. Hind Mahmoud Khidr, who reviewed multiple themes addressing the impact of reading on women's empowerment and enhancing their presence in various scientific and societal fields.
This event is part of a series of scientific and cultural activities that the College of Engineering is keen to organize, in line with the University of Kirkuk's directives to support qualitative initiatives and elevate the intellectual and cognitive levels of its staff and students.
In conclusion, the College of Engineering reaffirms its continuous commitment to sponsoring purposeful events that contribute to building an educated and conscious individual, and enhancing the presence of women as an active partner in shaping the future.
