The College of Engineering Participates in the National Afforestation Initiative in Support of the Environment and Green Spaces

On the occasion of National Afforestation Day, the College of Engineering participated in the national afforestation campaign launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The event saw the participation of the Dean of the College, the Assistant Deans, and a select group of faculty members, staff, and students.

The campaign featured environmental activities aimed at raising awareness about the importance of afforestation and environmental preservation. More than 85 saplings of various plant species were planted throughout the college premises and green spaces, a step that contributes to improving the university environment and adding a sustainable aesthetic appearance.

At the conclusion of the event, the Dean of the College of Engineering emphasized in her speech the importance of consolidating the culture of environmental care and enhancing environmental awareness among students, praising their active participation in this initiative. She also called upon the students to continue planting trees and maintaining the green spaces within the campus, noting the positive impact this has on supporting environmental sustainability and creating a healthy and aesthetic university environment that reflects the spirit of responsibility and collective action.
