Mr. Yousif Hussein Qadir, a distinguished graduate of the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Mosul (Class of 1967–1968), generously donated a valuable collection of scientific and engineering books to the Library of the College of Engineering at the University of Kirkuk. This thoughtful initiative reflects a spirit of loyalty and generosity, while supporting the academic and research advancement of the college’s students and faculty.
The college administration received the esteemed donor in the presence of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Chelang Akram Omar, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, and the Head of the Library Division, who expressed their sincere gratitude and appreciation for this generous contribution. They also praised the role of Iraqi university alumni in strengthening ties with their academic institutions and enhancing their knowledge resources.
It is worth noting that Mr. Yousif Hussein Qadir has held several prominent professional positions, including Director of Mansour Company, the Directorate of Public Buildings in Kirkuk, and the Directorate of Housing in Kirkuk, in addition to supervising and directly managing the construction of the Kirkuk Olympic Stadium — reflecting a wealth of professional experience that was clearly evident in his choice of donated scientific sources.
The Dean’s Office of the College of Engineering affirmed that this donation serves as a model example of strengthening the connection between graduates and their universities, contributing to the enhancement of the learning and research environment.
