The College of Basic Education organizes an orientation festival in conjunction with the orientation week

The College of Basic Education organized a distinguished guidance festival in the conference hall as part of the guidance week activities from November 24 to 28, 2024. The festival was opened with a beautiful recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a welcoming speech delivered by the Dean of the college, ( Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Ali), who expressed his happiness in welcoming first-year students to their new academic home, emphasizing the importance of commitment and diligence to achieve success and excellence. He noted that the college would support them throughout their academic journey, encouraging them to actively participate in scientific and guidance activities that contribute to the development of their personalities and abilities, in addition to stressing the necessity of approaching the guidance unit when needed. 

The festival included many diverse segments, including guidance and orientation lectures, introducing students to the guidance unit and its importance, and several other activities, including a performance by children that showcased their talents and creativity, delighting the audience. This was followed by an introduction to the college's outputs, where graduate students presented an overview to first-year students about the college's specializations and objectives, warmly welcoming the new students. The entertainment segments included recitations of poetry and performances of folkloric maqaams that reflected cultural heritage. The festival concluded with the honoring of outstanding students with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their academic and creative efforts and achievements.
