A lecturer at the College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk, Dr. Ahmed Isam Dawood, lectured in a training course for farmers, organized by the Agricultural Extension and Training Center and in cooperation with the Kirkuk Agriculture Directorate, on the operations of serving local hybrid vegetable crops inside greenhouses.
Dawood explained that his lecture included two parts, theoretical and practical. On the theoretical side, an introductory introduction to greenhouses, their types, and the advantages and challenges of protected agriculture was discussed.

Dawood added that the practical part included conducting a field visit to the greenhouses, to familiarize the farmers in a practical manner with the most important matters that must be taken into consideration before starting cultivation, the method of sterilizing the greenhouse before planting, while conducting the agricultural cycle for vegetable crops, the most important crops inside the greenhouses, diseases that affect vegetable crops, and ways to combat them. .
