:About the college
The College of Veterinary Medicine at Kirkuk University was established in the academic year 2013-2014. The aim of its establishment was to prepare scientific cadres specialized in veterinary medicine to contribute to protecting animals from diseases, diagnosing diseases when they occur, and treating them in order to preserve and develop livestock and increase their production efficiency. These specialized cadres will have a future. A role in serving the community in the areas of public health related to combating common diseases that are transmitted from animals to humans through food. The college received its first batch of students in the academic year 2013-2014, and it uses the English language in studying its curricula. One of the characteristics of this college is that the first student in the first stage is transferred to the College of Pharmacy or Dentistry... Five batches have graduated from it since its founding, and the students receive... During the five years of study, various veterinary medical sciences qualify them to obtain a bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine and surgery.
