A Teaching Staff examines a PhD Student at Salahaddin University in Erbil

In the context of the academic activities of the members at the Faculty of Science at the University of Kirkuk, Assistant Professor Dr. Shahla Jamal Shakour, from the Department of Chemistry, examined a PhD student, Kazem Abu Bakr Salim, at Salahaddin University in Erbil.

The title of the thesis was "Green analytical (methods for multi components analysis using spectrophotometric techniques". It applied analytical spectroscopy techniques belonging to the green chemistry family to estimate the main ingredients of toothpaste and evaluate them as pure substances.

Dr. Shakour admired the thesis for its academic achievement. Also, she stated that the discussion committee approved the student's work accepting the thesis and awarded him a PhD in analytical chemistry.
