Based on Scientific Cooperation Exchange between Iraqi universities, Assistant Professor Dr. Farah Khalaf Hammoud, a teacher at the College of Science / Department of Chemistry, has been elected as a master's thesis examining committee member. The title of the thesis is "The preparation and study of some mechanical, physical and thermal properties of polymeric compounds of unsaturated polyester with some types of car glass waste, iron, wood" by Ikhlas Qasim Hammadi, Ahmed at the University of Mosul - College of Education for Girls.
The research aimed to prepare and study new composite materials of importance in industrial technologies and with good economic and mechanical features from waste (car glass, iron filings and sawdust) as supporting materials with different weight ratios for the basic polyester material. This was to obtain compounds of higher quality than polyester alone. It offers it more quality in thermal insulation and various industrial uses, in addition to achieving economic benefits and reducing environmental pollution from waste.
The study was approved by the examining committee awarding the student a master's degree with distinction, taking into account the feedbacks by the members of the committee.
The Deanship of the College of Education for Girls / University of Mosul has sent a note of thanks and appreciation to the member for her scientific efforts and active participation in the examining committee.
