A lecturer at the College of Science/University of Kirkuk chairs the discussion committee for a master’s student at the University of Mosul

Within the scientific activities of our college’s staff, Professor Dr. Siran Sattar Saleh, lecturer at the Department of Chemistry / College of Science, chaired the discussion committee for the master’s thesis titled (Evaluating the role of interleukin 27 and interleukin 35 in patients with myeloid leukemia) under the supervision of both Assistant Professor Dr. Lilas Farhan Badawy and Dr. Yusr Farhan Badawy.

The lecturer explained that the thesis submitted by the student (Samara Fares Qasim Al-Nuaimi) aimed to estimate some biochemical variables in patients with myeloid leukemia and compare them with healthy people. The results showed a clear increase in the levels of interleukin 27, 35 and an increase in the percentage of white blood cells, bone marrow, triglycerides, and LDL levels, with a clear significant decrease in the percentage of hemoglobin, VLDL and HDL, in the sera of myeloid leukemia patients

The lecturer added that the study prepared by the student received the approval of the discussion committee, and the committee decided to accept the thesis and award the student a master’s degree with distinction.

In conclusion, the lecturer was given a letter of thanks and appreciation by the Deanship of the College of Education for Girls/University of Mosul for her efforts and bearing the trouble of traveling to participate in discussing this thesi
